Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast boneless, skinless
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 5 garlic cloves finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper freshly ground
  • 1 teaspoon paprika for flavor and color
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning optional, but highly recommended
  • Fresh parsley chopped, for garnish
  • Lemon wedges optional, for serving
  • Grated Parmesan optional, for an extra cheesy touch

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Sharp knife
  • Cutting board
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Tongs or spatula

Method

  1. Prep the chicken: Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning. Toss them together until the chicken is evenly coated.
  2. Heat the skillet: Place the large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 2 tablespoons of butter and let it melt.
  3. Cook the chicken: Once the butter is melted and sizzling, add the chicken pieces to the skillet. Cook for about 6-8 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown and fully cooked through. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  4. Make the garlic butter sauce: Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and minced garlic. Sauté the garlic for about 1 minute, or until fragrant.
  5. Combine and finish: Add the cooked chicken back into the skillet. Toss the chicken in the garlic butter sauce to coat it evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  6. Garnish and serve: Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for a zesty kick, if desired.

Notes

When cooking Garlic Butter Chicken Bites, don’t overcook the chicken. It should be golden brown on the outside and tender on the inside. Keep an eye on the heat—too high, and the butter might burn, ruining the flavor. Adjust the seasoning according to your preference. You can also add a splash of heavy cream or a sprinkle of grated Parmesan for a creamy, richer sauce.
