Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup mayonnaise full-fat works best
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese freshly grated for the best flavor
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley optional, for garnish

Equipment

  • Baking Dish
  • Mixing Bowls
  • Baking Sheet
  • Measuring Cups and Spoons
  • Tongs or Forks

Method

  1. Preheat Your Oven: Start by setting your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the Mayo Mixture: In a bowl, combine the mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir everything together until it's smooth and well mixed.
  3. Coat the Chicken: Take each chicken breast and dip it into the mayo mixture, ensuring it’s completely coated. You can use tongs or a fork for this part to keep your hands clean.
  4. Bake the Chicken: Place the coated chicken breasts in your greased baking dish. Make sure they are spaced evenly apart. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is golden and fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).
  5. Garnish and Serve: Once the chicken is done, sprinkle fresh parsley on top for a burst of color and added flavor. Serve immediately with your favorite sides, like roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes.

Notes

While baking, keep an eye on the chicken. Every oven is different, so you may need to adjust the cooking time slightly. If the top of the chicken starts to get too dark before the inside is fully cooked, simply cover it with aluminum foil and continue baking. This ensures you get that crispy, cheesy exterior without drying out the chicken.
