Method
- Prepare the Food Processor: Place the drained chickpeas, pumpkin puree, tahini, maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and a pinch of salt into the food processor.
- Blend It All Together: Process everything until it’s smooth and creamy. If the mixture is too thick, slowly add water, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency.
- Taste and Adjust: Give your hummus a quick taste. Add more maple syrup if you want it sweeter, or more spices for extra warmth. If you like a hint of vanilla, you can stir in a little vanilla extract at this stage.
- Serve: Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl. You can drizzle a bit of maple syrup on top or sprinkle cinnamon for extra flair.
- Chill (Optional): If you have time, chill the hummus for about 30 minutes to enhance the flavors.
Notes
You can store your Pumpkin Pie Hummus in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. This dip can be enjoyed with crackers, pita chips, apple slices, or as a spread on toast.
